One of the BEST WAYS for attendees to learn about cool new technologies at the ILTA Conference (while making friends at the same time) is to attend “University” sessions. These hands-on learning labs are jam packed with the latest and greatest tips, tricks and insights into cutting-edge technologies affecting law firms.
You get to try out things that you’d never get to do back at your firm and laugh with your colleagues when everyone makes the same blunders! Seriously, these sessions provide excellent opportunities to evaluate technologies that may be on your future plans or to learn how to improve an existing system that has been ignored because there aren’t enough hours in a day.
The mindSHIFT Technologies Team supports ILTA’s University sessions wholeheartedly and has been doing so for nearly 12 years now. Frankly, we’re a bunch of self-ascribed geeks who love to share our IT knowledge (and maybe a little of our geekiness as well).
Past scintillating University sessions presented by mindSHIFT have covered such showstopper topics as Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Advanced Networking using Application Acceleration, and SQL. Perhaps “showstopper” is overstating it a wee bit, but for us geeks this subject matter is a major conference highlight!
So come join your peers for an uproarious time at a University session. But make sure you’re not late, because the sessions fill up quickly and you don’t want to miss out on all of the fun.
