Law Firm Podcasts
Did you know that at the end of 2008 an estimated 6.5 million people in the United States downloaded and listened to one or more podcasts per week. By 2012, the number is estimated to be 25 million. Law firm clients are heavy consumers of digital media. An Ipsos MediaCT survey found that over half of senior corporate executives viewed or listened to podcasts or other streaming video regularly.
While some firms have jumped into the deep end and are producing podcasts regularly for their content consumers, many are not. Traditional articles, seminars and speeches are where much of the content is stuck. With a little creativity and time, the content of those traditional communication pieces can come alive as audio and/or video podcasts.
While I look at how we will spend the 1-hour we have for this session, I’m thinking a discussion of when to use podcasts, a review of tools and resources you will need to create podcasts and the best practices of podcasts. In reviewing the collection of podcasts already out there – I thought it would be fun to have a showcase of some of these law firm podcasts. Maybe we’ll call that segment – The good, the bad and the ugly. I’ll bring in experts from the field – via podcasts of course.

2nd Annual got CLASS™? Photo Contest
Are you going on a vacation this summer? If you are, don’t forget to pack your got CLASS™? t-shirt! Not going anywhere?, Are there some funky, cool places around the city in which you live? If so, put on your CLASS™ t-shirt and head out on the town!
Over the years, we have received some interesting photos from clients and ILTA members wearing their got CLASS™? t-shirts. So, last year, we held our first got CLASS™? t-shirt contest and received some great entries! The got CLASS™? t-shirt could be seen in Malaysia, at the beach watching a sunset, riding a horse, running a marathon and lots of other exciting places!
We can’t wait to see where the got CLASS™? t-shirts went this year!
Pictures will be posted in our booth at ILTA ‘09. All attendees will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite photo.
